don’t ensure knowing.
Success, fame, security
don’t prove contentment, meaning, inner peace.
The lights never go out
but we seem to see less and less.
The noise never stops
but our hearing has gone numb.
Instant gratification
replaced waiting, valuing, cherishing.
None of it “bad”
but tempting, seductive.
Choice is harder, but truer.
Seeing is cleaner.
Embodiment is richer, fuller.
